PAINT CORRECTION & ENHANCEMENT

Your Paint Has Depth.
We Reveal It.

Professional Paint Correction Across Gauteng

Beneath the swirl marks, the fine scratches, the buffer trails left by previous attempts — your clear coat still holds the depth it had when the vehicle left the factory. Paint correction does not restore what is already gone. It removes what is obscuring what was always there.

THE PROCESS

What We’re Actually Correcting

Your vehicle’s colour is protected by a clear coat — a transparent layer of lacquer applied over the base coat during manufacture. This clear coat is measured in microns. It is what gives deep paint its gloss, its reflective depth, and its resistance to UV and chemical attack.

Every automated wash that uses rotating brushes, every dry wipe across a dusty panel, every routine wash with a contaminated cloth — these drag fine particles across the clear coat at speed. The result is swirl marks: a web of microscopic scratches that scatter light instead of reflecting it. Under direct sunlight, the paint appears dull, hazy, or clouded. The depth is gone.

Multi-stage paint correction removes this defect layer by layer. Using a dual-action or rotary polisher with progressively finer compounds and pads, we work through the surface until defects are beneath the threshold of visibility — and the reflection you see is clean, sharp, and deep.

Paint correction is the mandatory preparation step before any ceramic coating application. No coating, regardless of its chemistry, will seal in a compromised surface. Correction always comes first.

What causes swirl marks

Dirty wash cloths, automated brush washes, dry wiping, and low-quality detailing products are the primary causes. Every contact with a contaminated surface is a potential source of defects.

Why professional correction matters

Incorrect machine polishing removes more clear coat than necessary. A certified correction is guided by paint depth readings — protecting the remaining clear coat while achieving the best possible result.

The result you can expect

A correctly corrected panel reflects light as a single, sharp plane. In direct sunlight, the difference between a corrected and uncorrected panel on the same vehicle is immediately visible to the naked eye.

THE STANDARD

The Certification Behind the Process

The Meguiar’s Certified Professional designation represents verified training in paint measurement, defect identification, polish and pad selection, machine operation, and surface finishing to an exacting standard. It means the person working on your vehicle understands the chemistry of what they are applying — and has demonstrated that understanding to the world’s foremost professional detailing brand.

Every correction begins with a paint depth gauge reading — not to add a line item, but to ensure the work is safe. Every vehicle has a finite amount of clear coat. The correction is done to achieve the result — not at the expense of the surface.
